Valentine Pie Pops

February 12 , 2012 by: Hong DIY, Gift, Holiday

Want an alternative to the typical Valentine’s Day sweet treats? Try pie pops! I typically don’t eat pie but will make an exception when they are either 1) heavily topped with whipping cream and/or ice cream 2) served in a very cute way, ie: mason jars or 3) made miniature……These are so easy to make, especially when you take as many short cuts as I did. Don’t judge me but I used store bought pie crust, used a heart shaped cookie cutter and filled them with strawberry jam and Nutella. I spent more time on the packaging! Don’t they look so delish?!I used clear bags to cover them (available at Paper Zone), stamped away at the clothes pins and VOILA! This is one treat your Valentine will be sure to remember!

  • The stamped clothespins are brilliant! (the pie pops are adorable too)

  • Where did you get the sticks from?

  • I’ve had an urge for solo travel to Bhutan for a few years now. However, when I think about all the memories and emotions of places that took my breathe away, it most certainly included loved ones. There’s something to be said about finding time and space for yourself but I think I’m leaning towards the camp of “happiness only real when shared”. Anyone have any experience traveling to Bhutan and would like to share?
