Q:What camera do you use?

A: Most of the wedding photos were shot with a Nikon D300. However, I’ve used everything from Nikon to Canon to a point and shoot. I am a firm believer that the camera is not what makes a photo, the photographer does. Although it is certainly helpful to have some great lenses!

Q: What lenses do you recommend?

A: If you are shooting a wedding, I highly recommend having at least two bodies. One with a wide lens and one with a long lens. My favorites are 17-35 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 2.8 and the lens that I can not shoot a wedding without is a macro 105. This lens allows for all the beautiful detail shots.

Q: What is your full time job?

A: I would love to say blogging and event planning. But the truth is I work for a high end furniture gallery as a store leader. On most days, I do love my day job. It affords me the ability to care for my family and have taught me many skills sets. The gallery has also provided me with lots of design inspiration that has carried into my home.

Q: How do you balance work and motherhood?

A: I don’t. I have A LOT of support. Fortunately I have a great partner who picks up where I slack off. I also grew up in a very traditional Asian family where inter-generational households are common. My boys have a very close relationship with their grandparents and they are nearby whenever a crisis arises. Did I also mention I am one of six children? We also all live within five miles of each other, with the exception of one sibling.

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your topics?

A: My life. Although probably mundane to many people I love to document it through photography. I try to make all of life’s milestones as pretty and special as can be. So whether it be a day trip to the zoo or a special birthday, you can always find me behind the camera.

Q: Are you available for Event Planning and Photography

A: Yes and Yes! Please email me and I would love to chat!
